recently completed Chorus, a two-story, 11th floor apartment in Taipei, Taiwan, home to a lawyer couple and their two little daughters. The 30-year old residence is owned by the wife’s parents, therefore it’s filled with family memories that they wanted to keep while also creating her dream home.
The husband wanted his wife and daughters to be happy so he went along with pink as the home’s accent color, adding life to the fairly neutral apartment.
The first floor houses the common areas – the kitchen, dining room, living room, and an indoor play area. A long dining table extends out from the kitchen’s island allowing enough room for family to come over.
The kitchen has two refrigerators because the family enjoys Chinese cuisine and Western desserts, so they needed the extra room to hold all of the ingredients.
A massive bookcase was incorporated behind the TV to hold the couple’s book collection.
Black wooden floors ground the space and are a contrast to the white and grey throughout.
Colorful glass was inserted into the staircase’s window, adding color to a plain white space.
Upstairs, there’s a master bedroom and the children’s room.
