is an emerging design studio that aims to bring “unexpected pleasure” to our daily lives through the objects they design. Making an appearance at Maison et Objet, they are also sharing their latest project, the series.
Ink and Wash is a collection of recycled and handcrafted wood objects with multiple functions. Inspired by traditional Chinese ink calligraphy, they take discarded ebony wood scraps and combine it with resin to look as if there were broad ink brush strokes painted over the wood.
Whether you want to use it on your desk, your dining table, or as objects of art, each piece is individually handcrafted and made. Due to the nature of the wood, all are distinct – no single piece is the same. With a contrast in color and texture, the Ink and Wash collection instills a sense of peace, while still maintaining a distinct personality.
