Built amongst a forest of pine trees in the Kiev region of Ukraine, the CUBE House looks much smaller than it actually is thanks to an optical illusion. designed the house using the cube concept, which helped reduce the impact on the surrounding landscape.
The house was built for a family of four with one more on the way, driving the importance of having flexible spaces that were also comfortable and modern.
The ground floor houses a two-car garage, an open living room, kitchen, and a dining room with a large table for the family. The double-height space boasts a wall of glass that fills the space with daylight while framing views of the tree-filled landscape.
Upstairs is the private zone with a master bedroom and two rooms for the children.
The boy’s bedroom features two hidden beds under the raised floor, which leaves more room for play. On the platform, a long desk is placed in front of the window.
The teenage daughter’s room has two elevated beds, a desk for studying and a sofa for hanging out with friends.
